Alexander McCall Smith This year’s featured speaker is internationally acclaimed author Alexander McCall Smith, CBE, FRSE, best known as the creator of The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series, with central character Mma Precious Ramotswe, the most famous fabricated personage in all of Botswana. Over the past twenty-six years, the One from the Heart Awards Breakfasts have raised more than $5.4 million to ensure extraordinary hospice and home health care for the Bay Area.
