California state law requires certain employers to provide formal training to their supervisors in the prevention and correction of sexual harassment. The law was recently amended to require training against a new “abusive conduct” standard unrelated to sex or sexual harassment. In order to help employers comply with the existing sexual harassment training requirement and the new abusive conduct training requirement, we are conducting a seminar focusing upon:
• Recognizing discrimination and harassment;
• Understanding the law and applicable policy with respect to discrimination and harassment;
• Understanding the new abusive conduct standard and what it means for supervisors and managers;
• Practical techniques that can be used to assist in preventing discrimination and harassment; and
• How to respond properly to complaints of discrimination and harassment.
