Mom and Baby Yoga
After pregnancy, most moms find themselves in a whole new body! Hillary’s Wednesday morning class helps new moms to feel comfortable in their own bodies, accepting and embracing changes as part of life’s journey. This gentle flow class, set to soothing, calming music, helps moms to restore core and overall strength, open tight areas common in postpartum women (upper back, shoulders, chest), and to heal the pelvis. With a foundation in traditional hatha yoga, every class includes strength-building poses and stretching, mindfulness meditation, and the use of Sanskrit words. Community building is important and there is always time for moms to connect with each other. While babies are incorporated into poses when possible and infant massage is occasionally used as a tool for soothing babies, class largely focuses on mom. The practice is appropriate for all levels.
