The Glorious Age of 78s! How the 78 rpm Records Shaped the Nation’s Popular Music Museum of American Heritage.
To kick off our upcoming exhibit, "In the Groove: A History of Record Players," Arthur Adams will give a talk on how the 78 rpm records influenced the nation’s popular music. Arthur F. Adams is retired electrical and mechanical engineer who now spends his time restoring old radio sets and supports garage sales. He is a MOAH member and longtime volunteer. Art has delighted MOAH with several lectures in the past including Radio in the American Home 1995 Further Adventures in Radio 1995 How Radio Became Television 1999 Tales From Garage Sales: Confessions of a Garage-aholic 1996 15,000 & Counting – Confessions of a Garage Sale Treasure Seeker 2011 Radio Days 2013 A Young Man Goes to War 2016 Wine and light refreshments will be served for your further enjoyment.
