State and federal law provide for more than a dozen types of protected leaves including, family and medical leave, pregnancy disability leave and disability leave provided as a reasonable accommodation. Effective January 1, 2018, new parental leave obligations were added to smaller employers. Untangling the web of available leaves and understanding the confusing interplay between them can be a tricky and time-consuming task.
This seminar will provide human resource professionals, supervisors and managers insight and information concerning the most commonly applicable leave statutes, the interplay between them, managing employees on leave, and useful tips for achieving and maintaining compliance.
